Our History

Quest for Transformation (QFT) was established in 2023 by Karithi Michael Munene, whose academic research and frontline development work exposed Kenya's urgent need for integrated solutions. After months of intensive planning with a team of sector experts, we identified six priority areas where coordinated action could spark systemic change: education gaps in informal settlements, welfare support for vulnerable groups, environmental degradation, agricultural challenges, addiction crises, and cyclical poverty. Through 2024, we conducted community consultations across 15 high-need areas, laying the groundwork for programs designed to address these interconnected challenges. Our official registration in August 2024 marked our readiness to transition from research to action.

This May 2025, QFT will begin implementing its first wave of transformational programs, building on lessons from our pilot initiatives. What began as targeted neighborhood interventions will now scale into structured initiatives for:

Education Empowerment:Supporting and promoting educational initiatives

Welfare Initiatives:Protecting vulnerable groups through direct support

Environment conservation:Promoting eco-friendly practices for resilient communities

Sustainable Agriculture:Enhancing food security and livelihoods

Addiction RecoveryRestoring lives through rehabilitation and counseling

Poverty AlleviationCreating pathways to economic independence
